Both Taiwan’s Aviation Safety Council and Civil Aeronautical Administration (CAA), both deserve praise and are setting an example. The graphics provided by the LA Times –HERE -present the incident from a different perspective to the ‘bridge’ vision and gives an idea of what the pilots managed to avoid hitting, as mentioned previously, there is not a lot of space to play around in; without height and without speed you need that ‘wriggle’ room; this crew had none of the essentials – TIME, HEIGHT, SPEED or SPACE. A little more of any one of those essential elements and things may just have turned out differently.
