It’s not news that Anthony Albanese is a liar and a hypocrite.

But he does have a talent for finding new ways of demeaning the office of Prime Minister and disrespecting the Australian people.

Australians have now met the real Anthony Albanese with his misogynistic comments about Kyle Minogue and the Japanese Prime Minister on a podcast.

He’s only been married six months and he’s already on the record talking about women’s body parts, who he’d like to sleep with, and other private matters that are best not mentioned.

He and his defenders will say it was a comedy podcast and it was just a bit of light-hearted fun.

But when, just a few weeks ago, Albanese said it was “completely unacceptable to demean, objectify, belittle or offend women” I don’t recall him adding “unless I’m on a comedy podcast”.

Remember, Anthony Albanese has been in politics for 30 years. It’s the only job he’s ever really had.

For a politician so senior and experienced, avoiding saying stupid things on podcasts and refusing to demean women is an extremely easy bar to clear.

But he couldn’t help himself.

Because deep down, Anthony Albanese is still the sleazy Labor student politician he always has been.

Prime Minister is just the title.

Anthony Albanese loves lecturing Australians about respect.

Until he thinks he’s among friends.

He loves telling Australians how good he is for women and how he’s a massive supporter of women.

But I, and many of my Coalition female colleagues, know firsthand that such support never extends to any woman on the other side of the political aisle.

In fact, it barely extends to women in his own party who aren’t on his side. Just ask Tania Plibersek.

The podcast didn’t change Anthony Albanese.

It exposed him.

So I am not going to complain about the gross misogyny I’ve faced from Labor and the left during my time in politics. I’m tough enough. I can handle it.

And I’m not going to waste time worrying about the fact that if Angus Taylor or Tony Abbott or any conservative political figure said the exact same thing, it would be front page news for a week and the media would be demanding resignations.

You and I know that’s true.

But that’s not going to change.

The polished image.

The carefully-rehearsed lines.

The lectures about respect.

Forget all of it.

When Anthony Albanese thought nobody important was listening, Australians met the real Anthony Albanese.

Albosleazy.

And now the women of Australia know it.

Time for REAL solutions.
