Meanwhile our piss poor excuse for an Australian Prime Minister gets nailed by a (now legend) Australian journalist...
Again from Erin Molan...
Hmm...perhaps the most honest answer from our useless Socialist PM in quite a long time...

Quote:Dear P2,
I’ve just spent time on the Gold Coast doing something Labor fails to do: getting out of Canberra and listening to the people actually building, employing, and training in this country.
And I heard some pretty confronting things.
I joined Cameron Caldwell, the Member for Fadden, to visit Major Training Group, where young Australians are learning the skills that quite literally build our nation.
Every house, road, and mine site starts with someone who learnt a trade.
At Major Training, I saw practical training and people who know their industries inside out.
It was a reminder that if we want more homes built, better roads and a stronger economy, we need more young Australians getting the skills to put their hands to work.
I also met businesses working in the marine industry, where employers have had to band together and find new ways to recruit people into specialist trades such as marine welding and boat building.
These skills can sometimes be forgotten.
But they shouldn’t be.
Whether it is by land, sea, or air, Australia needs people who can build things, fix things, and make things.
Across roundtables with Gold Coast business owners from different industries, the message was remarkably consistent.
Costs keep rising. Regulation keeps growing. Merchant fees are eating into already tight margins. Families have less discretionary income, which means less money flowing through local businesses.
And uncertainty about Labor’s policies makes it harder to plan, invest, or take on another apprentice.
Business closures remain at historically-high levels, with on average 1000 per day closing their doors.
Labor has the nerve to talk about how great the economy is going while families who run these small businesses lose what they’ve worked hard for.
Perhaps the most troubling thing I heard was from people wondering whether Australia is still the place to build their future.
Under Labor, they’re worried it’s no longer possible.
That should concern all of us.
Australia should be a country where effort is rewarded, where starting a business is encouraged, and where a young person can learn a trade, work hard, and build a secure life.
My job is to keep listening to these businesses and take their concerns back to Canberra.
Because when small business succeeds, Australia succeeds and I want to build that Australia together with you.
Yours sincerely,
