The two major parties have made the usual nothing promises and ‘motherhood’ statements. We want their answers to specific reforms that must be accomplished in quick time if there’s to be any real halt to the decline and stagnation of General Aviation.
It’s popular to call for culture change in CASA, this is a forlorn and wasted cry because it’s the nature and model of CASA that is wrong as 34 years of failure demonstrates. Unless and until a Minister gives directions and takes responsibility, ideally through a regular Department of Government, as is the proven democratic Westminster system, then ‘the culture’ will remain.
