What bollocks. The only thing notable from those clips was Beakers eye shuffling, head wobbling, body movements and mi mi mi-ing. You could have hog tied him, dressed him up in a straight jacket, poked pins into his eyeballs and shoved 3 pineapples up his arse sideways and he would've looked more comfortable!!
What an arrogant, ignorant, dismissive dipshit. Please Senator Heff, remove that letter from your office door and nail Beaker to the door instead. Beakers comtempt and attitude towards Sen X was repugnant. I just hope Nick doesn't receive his own 'dipshit letter' because Herr Beaker actually looked as if he might do it!
The Essendon issue will surely be the icing on the cake for the taking of Beakers scalp? The following points should make the public, PM's office and ICAO cringe;

a) No formal investigation was initiated
b) The ATSB used an inaccurate and non formal web tracking tool to determine if a potential issue existed/occurred.
c) Once again shoddy department work that is based upon saving money rather than performing proper investigations. Beaker himself, yet again, made his point about a lack of resources. So if this is true, who should be accountable - Beaker? Pumpkin Head? Jo Hockey? Old mother Hubbard?
d) ATSB failire to check the radar images when this alone would have been the most reliable and accurate source of evidence.
e) ATSB relying upon ASA to do its own investigation. This wasn't a case of somebody spilling hot coffee in their lap. There was the potential for an aircraft conflict or worse.
f) Beaker, as the Chief Commisoner personally felt comfortable with the decision to not formally investigate!

ICAO doesn't need any more motivation to act than this. The state (Australia) has an investigative authority unable or unwilling to perform it's function under the Chicago convention and ICAO annexes due to incompetence, mismanagement and supposed financial/resource problems. ICAO are happy with this? The FAA are happy with this? Farmer Truss (who doesn't know about aviation and only knows about growing zucchini's and treading in bovine pooh) doesn't care and is happy about this?
