Parliamentary Friends of Aviation - GA lock out??

The Parliamentary Friends of Aviation Group has been established to provide a non-partisan forum for parliamentarians to engage with representatives from Australia’s airport and airline sectors.

Formed through a collaboration between the Australian Airports Association (AAA), Airlines for Australia & New Zealand (A4ANZ), the Regional Aviation Association of Australia (RAAA), and the Board of Airline Representatives of Australia (BARA), the Group will support and promote aviation policy and priorities that strengthen Australia’s connectivity, economy, and regional development.

Together, these organisations represent more than 340 airports, 13 domestic airlines and over 40 international airlines, moving more than 100 million passengers each year in Australian airspace.

The official launch of the Parliamentary Friends of Aviation took place on Monday, 27 October 2025 at Parliament House, bringing together more than 200 guests to celebrate the achievements of the Australian aviation industry.

The evening included an address from Minister Catherine King and acknowledgements to the Group’s co-conveners, Ms Claire Clutterham and Senator the Hon Bridget McKenzie, for their leadership in supporting this important initiative.

So we don't have General Aviation representation on the PFG - WHY NOT??
