Funny (as in peculiar) old thing is time; many and manifold are the methods of 'measuring' such a thing, in reality. One may very well sit in the desert indulging in navel gazing, conversely one may experience that one, split second, which will, forever, change much. Age, experiences and 'life' in the raw are governed by time. Many would be grateful to their personal Gods to have additional time granted, (or reversed) to contemplate and possibly modify or confirm decisions made within a 'split' second; and earnestly wish the clock could be wound back to that particular time, thus the rest of any story fails to become history.

Yeah, we all know 'talk' is cheap, but Ale still costs 'money'. Aye, the root of all evil indeed. Which, (belatedly) brings me to the Buckley saga, which leads to RA Oz which leads to the almost abysmal crash/ error / cover up rate we currently see. Bear with me, I'll get there. In primus; whilst I do have a 'big' quarrel with CASA Avmed (not personally) it intrigues me that the regulator refuses a medical to those who can, safely and happily, travel across the land in aircraft , some of which are, indeed high performance, and the 'aerodynamics' of which would bamboozle the average student as a 'traditionally' trained pilot. In fact, the limitations related and noted in approval 'flight test' would concern the more 'traditionally' average Joe. But then, so do some of the 'limitations' imposed on 'traditional' air frames. Without a clear understanding of 'limitation and consequence' -CASA is, naturally, completely 'off-the-hook' when push comes to shove. Not right; nowhere bloody well near right. But, I digress.
Of shoes — and ships — and sealing-wax —
Buckley: and, I beg some forbearance here. Only my opinion, personal, based on 'fact' advice and experience. Many voices call for Glen to 'lawyer up'. However, deep in his heart of hearts, he knows that he cannot get one to take his money; and, that he is on a mission which is, essentially, a hiding to nothing'. BUT; and I say this with nothing else with support: the clock will not roll back, nor will the 'verdict' ever change. That is an impossibility; legally and operationally.
“The moving finger writes; and, having writ, moves on: nor all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all thy tears wash out a word of it.
However; there is no impediment (barring serious physical medical) preventing Glen from returning to the job he is very good at; and, training up a new generation of pilots who can, actually 'fly' an aircraft. Seems to me there are some serious 'holes' in the tick-a-box shortcuts. An instructor who taught to airline standard and better as our airmen used to be could very easily be reinvented, it seems to me. Bit like a car crash; it happened, get over it, get new wheels and get back on the road.
Of cabbages — and kings —
The 'cabbages' betrayed Glen; the Kings are unimpeachable. The only impediment resides in Glen's head. Take a long breath, re validate ratings, Hell; get a job somewhere and return to the land of those pissing about with 'limited' training by those with little experience of the real world. The world where we play for keeps and are only as good as our training.
And why the sea is boiling hot —
It matters not how 'hot' it gets; it is the training given and understood which will temper the rash and guide the timid. Glen's pilots were all 'Gud-Uns' and we are in need of them. Now, more than ever. So; stop pissing and moaning man; get on with it..
And whether pigs have wings.'
Nothing wrong with flying pigs; provided the rider understands the beast.
