Quote:To all members,
Socialist trade training system Newsletter August 2025
Irrespective to the regulatory system, there is a shortage of tradespersons in the helicopter and general aviation aeroplane sectors.
The current pathway is self-study, pass CASA examinations to obtain a licence. Where are the courses?
This Newsletter looks over the government’s policies, philosophises, regulatory support and what is provided.
It is very obvious why. No regulatory or trade training/qualification pathways to support these sectors.
Our members work in an industry where attention to detail is paramount for safety.
The lack of regulations, lack of specific courses and AQF qualifications for those tradespersons opting to be employed in the helicopter and small aeroplane sectors is astounding.
Employers know who they must employ but government hasn’t provided the trade pathways standards.
Based on the government standards produced, it should be the unions that should be demanding these trade courses be added and made available.
The missing trade training in a socialist society, in particular, should have been in place a couple of decades back to meet these standards.
The trade unions, not just the employers, should be demanding the missing EASA regulations regarding training of AME trade pathways be adopted ASAP.
Government training philosophies support the provision of these pathways.
Until the unions support these trade training pathways, we will be using the self-study or import of overseas tradespersons to support our AME licencing system
Note. The FAA has applied Privacy requirements to their aircraft register.
Private names and addresses can now be removed from the FAA aircraft register.
This shouldn’t be a opt in system.
In this day of cyber security and physical safety, private names and addresses should not be made public on CASA;s aircraft register either.
