Too bad that David Fawcett won’t be asking questions in the Estimates Committee meetings.
That video in post #213 should be mandatory viewing for anyone who is interested in “saving General Aviation from bureaucratic disaster.”
The words there in parenthesis was the title to a Change.org petition that I originated some years ago. The petition garnered some 3000 signatures and a large number of comments, stories and views about the extraordinary incompetence of the independent Commonwealth corporate CASA.
Of course there are plenty of CASA employees who no doubt work conscientiously but look at the leadership. But to be realistic the truth is that aviation should never have been separated out of direct Ministerial control and governments of both stripes have allowed this denial of the Westminster principle, Ministerial responsibility, to confound a vital Australian industry.
