A pleasant change.
It is not possible for a lay or even a qualified professional to understand the higher logic of Avmed criteria; the why and how medical decisions are made. Some nations would think CASA balmy, others would think them too casual – aviation medicine and ‘fitness for flight’ is an ever running debate, way above my pay grade.
What does fall within my ambit is the way the Avmed system treats me – personally. I am a great believer in praise where it is due and IMO the current ‘front of house’ Avmed system merits praise and encouragement. What with one thing and the other, I’ve been dealing with Avmed over the last couple of months and I must say I am impressed with the level of service. No extended periods of ‘holding’ : always, without exception a pleasant, helpful voice at the other end which not only knew the system but was willing to assist; phone messages and email promptly answered; when you add that to an efficient notification and advisory system, you have to say well done.
So; well done Avmed admin: well done indeed and thank you for courteous, efficient, human service. It is a very much appreciated, pleasant and welcome change.
